Any jewellery is dangerous and should not be worn. It is dangerous to the wearer and other children. However, the governors have agreed that surgical ear studs and wristwatches may be worn. No other type of earrings will be accepted. All other items including rings, bracelets, necklaces etc., are discouraged and the child will be asked to remove them.
It is important that parents support the schools policy on the wearing of jewellery.
On days when a child has a PE lesson or sports activity they are expected to remove their jewellery independently. If a child is unable to do this please refrain from wearing jewellery on PE days.
Children with hair long enough to be tied back should be tied back at all times in school using the appropriate school colours.
