World Book Day

We enjoyed a fantastic day on Thursday celebrating the joys of reading!
Pupils and staff made a brilliant effort to portray a wonderfully diverse array of characters from classic and modern literature. Thank you to all our parents/carers for supporting this event which the children so greatly enjoy.

We started the day with 4HD’s Book Day Class Assembly a great appetizer for WBD. Well done to pupils and thanks to Mr. Diaz for reminding us about all the books we have read and the mark they have made on our lives.

I would like to extend my particular thanks to Ms. Pluckrose – our English Leader –for organizing and facilitating the day’s events for all of us, ending with a whole school book character assembly.

We have been greatly impressed with the high standard of entries for our School Library Poster Competition.
We have received hundreds of entries – choosing a few winners may prove impossible!

And many thanks to Lily Ksiazek in 2JC for a beautiful, framed picture of Red Riding Hood which will take central place on our library wall!

A small visual sample of our day………..
